Calendar (Google Calendar)
Connect Google Calendar to Inbox Agent and walk into every meeting already prepared — with relevant context, recent conversations, and background information assembled for you automatically.
What Inbox Agent does with your calendar
Before each meeting, Inbox Agent reviews your calendar event and builds a meeting brief. The brief can include:
- Recent Slack conversations or emails related to the meeting topic or attendees
- Relevant documents from connected tools (Notion pages, Confluence articles, etc.)
- Open Linear issues or other work items connected to the subject
The goal is simple: you show up knowing what matters, without spending 10 minutes digging through your tools beforehand.
Inbox Agent does not accept, decline, or modify calendar events. It only reads your calendar to know what's coming. All decisions about your schedule remain entirely yours.
What to expect after connecting
Once Google Calendar is connected:
- Inbox Agent monitors your upcoming calendar events.
- Before each meeting, it assembles a brief with relevant context from your connected channels and tools.
- The brief appears in your Runbear inbox, ready for you to review at any time.
- No changes are made to your calendar — events are read-only.
Setup
- Open Inbox Agent in the Runbear app.
- Navigate to Channels and select Calendar.
- Click Connect with Google and complete the OAuth authorization flow.
- Grant Runbear the requested Google Calendar permissions — Runbear reads your calendar events to prepare briefs. It does not modify your calendar.
- Once connected, Inbox Agent will begin monitoring upcoming events immediately.
The more channels and tools you connect, the richer your meeting briefs will be. Connect Slack to surface recent conversations, or Notion to pull in relevant documents. See Connect tools for details.
